Lugansk thermal power plant for further work had moved from coal to gas. It is reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Luhansk regional state administration Yuriy Klymenko on his page in Facebook.
“Today Lugansk thermal power plant had moved from coal to gas. Cchastinsky TPP transferred to the processing gas due to the inability of coal supply by railway transport on the territory of Russia. For this reason there is a corresponding decision of the Government and “Naftogaz”. In parallel, we will “knock out” quota for the import of coal, as was previously the territory of the Russian Federation”, – he said.
While Klimenko said that the station can operate both on coal and on gas, but coal is cheaper. However, according to the official, the tariffs for heating and hot water supply for population will remain unchanged.
“Working to keep the situation”, – he concluded.
Earlier it was reported that the coal reserves in warehouses Luhansk TPP will only last until 6 November. Because of this, in October the Cabinet of Ministers recommended that the national Commission to install additional payment, OOO DTEK Vostokenergo to cover the additional cost of Lugansk thermal power plant for electricity generation using natural gas.
