The last days around solo Batman movie from Matt Reeves lot of rumors, particularly about leaving the franchise, Ben Affleck. The Director hastened to dispel them, saying that Affleck is still involved in the project, says Deadline.
“Affleck continues to be involved in the project, but it is too early to say what he will do. He wrote the first draft script of Batman from Geoff Johns from DC,” said Reeves.
In addition, according to him, the new film will not be based on the comic “Batman: Year one”.
“The film will not lay down a particular comic. “Year one” is one of the many things I love comics, but we’re not going to film. I just want to shoot the story that will determine the character and becomes very personal”, – said the Director.
Reeves also noted that the screenplay for the work and the first option may appear in the next couple of weeks, allowing work to begin on the film early next year.
“We’re going to make it a Noir detective first-person of Batman, who is investigating the crime, simultaneously studying the Gotham. I read all my favorite comic books, absorbed all the most important. I’m trying to find a way to recreate my own cool Batman,” added Reeves.
