Montenegro, Albania, Norway and Ukraine have stated their intention to align its national policy with the extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the EU Council.
These countries have joined the sanctions against Russia.
“The candidate countries Montenegro and Albania, as well as country of the European free trade Association Norway, which is a member of the European economic area, as well as Ukraine, align themselves with the Declaration,” govorica in the message.
They will ensure that national policy decision of the EU Council.
For its part, the European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
We will remind, on 5 July, the European Union extended economic sanctions against Russia until 31 January 2019. Sanctions were imposed in July 2014 in response to Russia’s destabilizing actions in Ukraine.
