Police in Kiev detained the man, who yesterday attacked the Sviatoshynsky district court judge Sergei Dyachuk. About it reports a press-Department service.

As noted in the police, the witnesses of the conflict called the victim an ambulance, and the attacker, meanwhile, the scene disappeared.

Law enforcement officers quickly identified the suspect and arrested him. “It appeared to be from Kiev, born in 1964. Currently, the attacker provides explanations to the investigators of the Sviatoshynsky police Department,” added the police.

The event information included in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations. Initiated criminal proceedings under part 4 of article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article prescribes punishment till 7 years of imprisonment.

We will note, earlier, the press service of the Council of judges of Ukraine reported that the judge Sviatoshynsky district court Sergey Dyachuk was attacked near his home.

It was assumed that the attack can be connected with the professional activities of judges.

We will remind, the judge of the Svyatoshinskiy district court Sergey Dyachuk is hearing the case about the murder of people on the Maidan 18-20 February 2014. The case, which has included 157 victims and over 500 witnesses. The defendants – five former employees of the Kyiv regiment “Berkut”. They are accused of mass murder of protesters, as well as in the Commission of a terrorist act.
