President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers with a request to take steps for the early establishment of interagency coordinating body for compensation from Russia for losses caused by occupation of Crimea and hostilities in the Donbass. About this Poroshenko wrote in Facebook.
“The ongoing military aggression of Russia every day brings on new Ukrainian land of immeasurable human suffering, destroyed infrastructure, destroyed businesses and the economic potential of Donbas and Crimea. Therefore, we should not hesitate even for a minute regarding the formation of the consolidated claims of Ukraine to Russia for redress,” said Poroshenko.
According to the President, this body provided the so-called reintegration law adopted in January.
The President also said that he expects the government’s plan for the development of territories adjacent to the occupied.
“Expect from the government a detailed plan for the integrated development of the territories adjacent to the occupied. And I’m glad my strategy was supported by the EU leaders during the Summit EU-Ukraine, and expressed readiness to take under the patronage of the restoration of settlements of Donbass”, – said Poroshenko.
As stated by the representative of the Cabinet in the Verkhovna Rada Vadim Denisenko, the TV channel “112 Ukraine”, the plan will present in a few months.
“I think it (plan – ed.) will not be ready for years and for several months will be presented,” – said Denisenko.
He said that work on the damages and development of territories is very long.
“The work is long, and in the Cabinet, and the national security Council, responsible Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Zubko. Regarding what will be developed, on the one hand is the law “On the integration of Donbass”, which clearly prescribes certain things, on the other – preparation of lawsuits and the full range of measures necessary for the occupied territories of Donbas and adjacent areas. Part of this plan was developed and the Ministry of the occupied territories, and under the guidance of Zubko, and the national security Council. Now these things must be combined. Here are combined many things, ranging from social to infrastructural and economic”, – said Denisenko.
As reported, the court in the Hague ordered Russia to compensate the Ukrainian companies losses associated with the annexation of Crimea.
