Ukraine supports the initiative to revise the law about the Polish Institute of naramata and expects to revise the regulations about Ukrainians. This was at the opening ceremony of the memorial to Ukrainians who died at the hands of the Polish “peasant battalions” and units of the home Army in 1944, said President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“We support the initiative of revision of well-known changes in the Polish legislation on the Institute of national remembrance and hope will be also revised the provision relating to the evaluation of Ukrainians,” he said.
We will remind, opening of the memorial took place in the Polish village of Sahrani. Petro Poroshenko with the Ukrainian community of Poland prayed for the Ukrainians who perished in March 1944 during the conflict.
