The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Washington met with U.S. Congress delegation, and discussed international efforts on the de-occupation of Crimea and Donbas. This is stated on the website of the presidential Administration.
“Was coordinated further steps to enhance international efforts at de-occupation of the Ukrainian Crimea and Donbass. The head of state drew attention to the illegal activities of the Russian Federation in the sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait. There was an exchange of views on threats to the energy security of Europe for the project “Nord stream – 2”, – stated in the message.
In addition, Poroshenko expressed gratitude for the support of providing Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons and strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia.
They also discussed Ukraine’s progress in implementation of reform programs and development of cooperation with the IMF.
