Actress Reese Witherspoon, who heads the company Hello Sunshine, and Studio Fox 2000 has acquired the rights to the not yet released novel the Hit “League of women”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will be the producer of the drama, filmed on the basis of the novel.
“As soon as I heard about this inspiring true story, then immediately realized that she was perfect,” said Witherspoon.
The book tells about the group of women who gathered together to save their husbands in the war. When their husbands are shot down and pilots captured during the Vietnam war, women will unite and defend the rights of the military. By 1973 they were able to recover 115 men.
As previously reported, Netflix will create six exclusive animated movies.
