Russian documentary filmmaker Viktor Kosakovsky at the Venice film festival, spoke in support of Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov, a prisoner in Russia. About it reports “Radio Freedom”.
1 September was held the press-conference on the occasion of the premiere of the film Kosakovsky consisted Aquarella, which the Director came in a t-shirt with the numbers “111” – the same days on hunger strike Sentsov.
“This is not a political gesture, and the desire to recall the fate of colleagues,” – said the Director.
He expressed hope that the Russian authorities release Sentsov humanitarian grounds.
We will remind, Oleg Sentsov was arrested by the FSB in may 2014, after the annexation of Crimea by Russia. He was accused of planning terrorist attacks and were taken to Moscow. There the Director was sentenced to 20 years in prison, despite a lack of evidence.
