You know the island of Sainte-Marguerite ? This is the one to the east of the bridge-tunnel Louis-Hippolyte-LaFontaine, and the Charron island, at the entrance to the parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville. Several trails are there for the winter walk and the same for the bike on snow.

This island is the only one open in the winter in the park. The distances are not great and the environment is not equipped slopes, the trails really are to everyone.

There was even a mound of slide, which allows you to give a break to children who have already walked or cross-country skiing. Carpet of snow, sled and equipment of winter sports are provided free of charge.

For walking, three trails rustic on packed snow through fields and woodlands. Length : 1.5 to 4 kilometers.

A riverfront trail is intended solely for the racket. The ride provides a beautiful window to the river.

A track making the tour of the island was developed, in part, for the cross-country skiing classic and in part to the bike on snow. Distance : 7 kilometers. On two wheels, the tour is done in less than an hour. It is therefore a good place to start a bike with oversize tires (VPS).

Some Saturday nights, the trails are illuminated in the torchlight. A food truck is on site. This is not always the same. On the evening of 2 February, for example, the truck, The Buccaneers on the run will be used, among other things, putin shredded smoked pork.

The evenings that start early are complemented with the exterior lights, a heated terrace and a meeting with a park ranger naturalist. Hot chocolate and marshmallows for the children. Reservations required.
