SQ drug smuggling: four arrests

About forty policemen struck in the Bois-Francs, Wednesday morning, for the dismantling of the network of drug trafficking.

The local counter-narcotics investigating team arrested four suspects, men aged 20 to 44, from Victoriaville, Saint-Christophe-d’Arthabaska and Plessisville.

The operation aims to dismantle a network of important players in the control, supply and distribution of cocaine and methamphetamines, says Aurélie Guindon, spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec.

The police conducted five searches, including a seizure of cocaine, cannabis, methamphetamines, and more than $ 20,000 in cash.

The suspects will have to face various counts of narcotics, “said Guidon in a press release.

The SQ police officers mobilized for the operation are attached to the positions of the MRC d’Arthabaska and the Érable.
