If 2017 has clearly been the year of Stephen King, it would also have been one of the Stranger Things. And when you look more closely, you said that it is logical.

Broadcast two weeks ago on Netflix, the second season of the Stranger Things swept away the worries one could have on one of the series most important in recent memory – nothing that, in terms of popularity. This season was far from perfect, but all in all it was however of high quality and public success is there to prove it.

While there is already talk of season 3 that we should book a few surprises (including a bond very marked in the time to manage the adolescence of his young cast and all the changes that this implies), there is still a lot of things to say about what we just saw.

For his part, Stephen King must have a peach of hell in his office, busy counting the tickets green this year 2017 has reported. Because this year is clearly HIS year. Of course, there was the incident of course The Dark Tower, but between Gerald’s Game, 1922 , and especially It, the Master of horror can be considered a varnish. And yet, this is only the beginning since 2018 and 2019 should be just as prolific for him.

It does not deceive anyone : Stranger Things owes a lot to Stephen King, in the course of its history, the treatment of its characters and the use of his argument fantastic. Of course, this is only a reference among a multitude of others but the series as a whole is marked by its imprint. So we were especially curious to know what he thought. And it’s just as well, since Stephen King has seen this second season, and was so beloved that he could not help but share his happiness on the occasion of a little tweet, which makes much fun :

“STRANGER THINGS 2 : Ladies and gentlemen, this is how it is : no bullshit, a big pair of balls. There is no detour.”

A word that definitely will be very pleasure to the brothers Duffer, the creators of the series, and which may well serve as a notice of intent to Castle Rock, the series mysterious the Master prepares with J. J. Abrams and will be a condensed version of his universe, released in 2018. In any case, it is everything that we hope for.
