Sailors of the Russian tanker “Mekhanik Pogodin” detained in Kherson, never left the ship. About this Agency TASS said the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova.
“I held another telephone conversation with the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine [on human rights]. At my request, Lyudmila Denisova found that on Board the tanker are 12 Russian sailors, who went ashore. They have food, water and medicines”, – she said.
Moskalkova added that to the Marines until there are no administrative or criminal claims. The court about the arrest of the tanker and property located on it, will be held on Monday, said the Ombudsman.
According to her, with the Russian Consul sailors are not met. In case of questions or problems, they will be able to appeal to the Russian or Ukrainian Ombudsman, she said, stressing that the situation with observance of the rights of crew members – citizens of Russia keeps under constant control.
