The Executive Committee of Ternopil city Council considered the appeal of the public regarding the revision of tariffs for journey in public transport and decided that tomorrow the city will return to the old tariffs for transportation of citizens. This is stated in the message published on the website of the city Council of Ternopil.
“On 6 November in Ternopil will recover the effect of tariffs on transportation of passengers by motor and electric transport at the level of 3/4 of the hryvnia in the trolley and 4/5 of the hryvnia in the bus (in the calculations “Card of the inhabitant of Ternopol” and in cash)”, – stated in it.
Furthermore, this decision was taken by the Executive Committee of Ternopil city Council today after a meeting of the Chairman of Ternopil Sergey Nadal with the public and to prevent social tension in the city.
Accordingly, the decision of the Executive Committee of 30 October, which introduced a fare increase to UAH 9 to the bus and up to 8 UAH at the trolleybus shall be deemed repealed.
As reported yesterday in the center of Ternopil, more than 5 thousand townspeople held a protest against the increasing cost of travel in urban buses and trolleybuses. Today, protesters marched to the city Council.
