The Prosecutor’s office of the Polish city of Przemysl have charged the driver of the Ukrainian bus that got in an accident on the night of August 18, reports “Polish radio”.
So, the Deputy district attorney Beata Starzecka-Skripec reported that 42-year-old Nicholas L. was interrogated as a suspect and charged him. The man didn’t admit his guilt and gave an explanation.
The suspect’s interrogation of the citizen of Ukraine lasted more than four hours. The hearing was attended by the translator. The Prosecutor’s office will petition for the arrest for three months.
The suspect told that the road was heavy, and he was not familiar with that route. He was convinced that seeing the sign, to inform about the serpentine, was traveling at a speed of 50-60 km/h and the sign of speed limit to 30 km/h not noticed.
The Prosecutor added that the judicial expert in the field of traffic estimated that the driver was driving at a speed much higher than allowed in this place. According to preliminary data, it was 75 km/h.
Earlier it was reported that on 17 August in Poland, in Podkarpackie Voivodeship road traffic accident Ukrainian bus with tourists. In the accident three people were killed, 51 people injured. In place immediately left the Ukrainian Consul. It is established that all the dead and injured in the accident – the Ukrainians.
The accident hospitalized 10 children.
