The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced changes to Cabinet of Ministers resolution dated 6 August 2014 “On establishment of state social standards in the sphere of housing and communal services”, which abolished subsidies to consumers without gas meters. The decision was made during today’s meeting, reports 112.ua.
The changes will come into force on 1 October 2018.
“Benefits and subsidies for payment of services supply and distribution of natural gas from October 1, 2018 in the amount of imposed social norms are not available to consumers who did not provide an independent installation of individual metering of natural gas (individual meters) and in writing refused to install them due to the state budget or own funds of the operators of gas distribution systems”, – stated in the text of the document, transfers “RBC-Ukraine”.
Recall that in January of 2018 entered into force act No. 2260-VIII “On amendments to the law of Ukraine “On ensuring the commercial accounting of natural gas” on the procedure for the installation of meters for consumers of natural gas.”
According to the law, gas meters should not be installed until the beginning of 2018, and before January 1, 2021. It will not spend the money of local budgets. If the user has installed a meter for the apartment – it compensates the costs due to the tariff on the gas distribution. The operators of the gas distribution network will not be able to stop the supply of gas in the house if his owners abandoned counter in the building.
