Of all the pilgrims Hasidim gathered in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, 10 147 people left the city. About it reports a press-service of the Department of the SES in Cherkasy region.

“In total, as of 7:00 on September 12 from Uman already left 147 10 Hasidic pilgrims. Now the area of the memorial complex remains 17 729 pilgrims”, – stated in the message.

Also, the SES States that despite enhanced security measures, to avoid problems with security issues failed. Twice for the evacuation of pilgrims who required urgent medical care, were attracted by Eurocopter of Goschs of Ukraine, transportation of patients committed to Kiev.

“So, September 11 at 6:20 with Eurocopter was transported to Kiev for medical care a citizen of the state of Israel, who was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. On the same day around 18:00, during the celebration of Rosh-ha-Shana became ill 30-year-old pilgrim. After inspecting his medical team of Israeli experts, it with a preliminary diagnosis of a heart attack, was taken to Kiev, the specialized medical center”, – stated in the message.

With the start of the celebrations of Rosh Hashanah in Uman rescuers of the consolidated group management of the State emergency service (SES) together with employees of the National police and the Israeli police warned of the emergence of the 17 fires. SES notes that to avoid tragic cases among the pilgrims managed thanks to the effective actions response systems.

Recall, every year in Uman is a pilgrimage of Jews who are followers of the Bratslav Hasidism (one of the trends in Hasidic Judaism), Hasidism, on the grave of their spiritual leader Tzadik Nachman.

Traditionally, they come to this city in September, because for them, Uman – one of the most revered shrines, the annual mass pilgrimage site. This year the Jewish New year celebrated from 9 to 11 September.
