The court released on bail of 440 thousand UAH of the mayor of Uzhgorod

Uzhgorod district court of Transcarpathian region dismissed the mayor of Uzhgorod Bogdan Andreev after the Deposit of 440 thousand. About it reports the local edition “news of Transcarpathia”.

“No arrests, the amount has been paid in full, and Andreev is on the loose,” said the court.

In the Prosecutor’s office told the newspaper that at the moment they are studying all the arguments of the verdict and make a decision about filing or not filing the appeal against the verdict.

Recall, September 6, the court considered the request of the public Prosecutor about election of a measure of restraint to the mayor of the city of Uzhgorod to Bogdan Andreev. The court arrested Andrew for two months with the definition of a guarantee in 440 thousand UAH. However, prosecutors asked to set bail in the amount of 6.5 million UAH.

At the meeting with the mayor came to the head of the Transcarpathian regional state administration Gennady Moskal, who was ready to take him on bail.

Note that on the eve of the Andreev gave a suspicion under part 5 of article 191 of the criminal code (“Misappropriation and embezzlement of property through abuse of official position in especially large size”) and part 2 of article 28 of the criminal code – part 2 St. 366 criminal code, that is complicity in the forgery of documents, associated with the circumstances of the reconstruction of cultural-historic Owl’s nest.

In February it was sent to court a criminal proceedings against the founder of private companies and engineer of technical supervision, which carried out the reconstruction of the monument of architecture of national value “the Barn and a wine cellar of XVII century” (known as the “Owl’s nest”), the appropriation of 6.5 million UAH, and for forgery.

Now under the new criminal proceedings law enforcement authorities find out the role of Andreev in possible assistance in the appropriation of these funds.
