The court released without bail the former Chairman of the Board of Directors and co-owner of Agroholding “Mriya” Nicholas Hutu, who was extradited on 5 November from Switzerland. This “Economic Pravda” reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Andrei Lysenko.

“Yesterday, the Shevchenko district court decided to release on personal bond that only extradited from Switzerland to Ukraine of a citizen. (Nikolai Guta – ed.)”, – he said.

“The investigation will lead the Investigation Department of GU NP city of Kiev, and procedural guidance for the city Prosecutor’s office”, – said Lysenko.

In January 2015, Mykola Huta on request of the Ukrainian side was declared wanted by Interpol on suspicion of fraudulently taking money eight foreign investment funds totaling more than $ 100 million.

Agricultural holding “Mriya” was founded in 1992. Mykola Guta joined the group “Mriya” in 2002. Group of companies “Mriya” was owned by the company Mriya Agro Holding Plc, which was registered in Cyprus. In turn, 80% of Cyprus company owned another foreign agencies HF Assets Management Limited, which is owned by the family of Gut.

In 2014 due to the difficult financial situation of “Mriya” announced a technical default, and in February 2015 it came under the control of creditors. Recently it became known that the company, which is owned by the GIP Saudi Arabia, has completed the acquisition of Mriya.
