The first ever cinemaster put up for the Sotheby’s auction for 50 thousand dollars

Auction house Sotheby’s put up for online auction first in the history of cinemaster that announced a screening of short films by Auguste and Louis Jean Lumiere. It was the first session in the history of cinema, held in Paris “Grand café” December 28, 1895. This was reported on the auction site.

The auction will be held from 28 August to 4 September. It is expected that the poster will go under the hammer for 51-76 thousand dollars.

The artist Henri Brisport depicted on that poster from the crowd in front of the entrance to the cinema. In fact, however, the films of the Lumiere then collected only 30 spectators. It is noted that the poster a few times was shown in public.

Also on this online auction 163 other film posters. One of them included the posters for the film “2001: a Space Odyssey”, several parts of the films about James bond, king Kong and a franchise “Star wars.”
