GOLF. It will be possible to see the prowess of the future stars of the PGA tour, during the Omnium Investment Mackenzkie presented by Jaguar Laval, which will be held at the golf club The Four Areas of Mirabel, from 17 to 23 July next.
A quota of 156 golfers from over twenty different nationalities will participate at this major event. For the first time since its launch in 2013, Mackenzie’s Tour will stop in Quebec for a stop on the PGA Tour Canada, an international circuit, bringing in players of the Circuit Web.com the last step before the entrance on the PGA tour.
The City of Mirabel did not hesitate to embark on the project. “This event will be an exceptional showcase for the City of Mirabel as well as for the greater Montreal area. This tournament will host many of the golfers, but also a large number of people from outside of Mirabel. Thus, we will make the promotion of Mirabel, as many of the golf courses that the full range of activities that Mirabel offers,” said the mayor, Jean Bouchard.
The president of the Circuit and PGA Tour Canada Jeff Monday has underlined the enthusiasm of the fans of Quebec for sporting events and golf tournaments, and in particular those that feature the athletes from quebec. “This craze is really impressive. This explains in large part to the launch of this event in the Montreal area.”
$ 175,000 in scholarships
Despite the arrival of international players, canadian athletes will also be able to stand out. PGA Tour Canada is anticipated that 16 golfers on the Circuit, Canadian Pro Tour will have the privilege to compete with players of international calibre because of the 16 exemptions.

The Circuit Mackenzie Tour – PGA Tour Canada has several former players who are now regulars on the PGA tour, including Adam Hadwin, who has been invited to the Tournament in Augusta in 2017, Mike Weir, winner of the Masters Tournament in 2003, has also started its classes in this circuit just as Tony Finau, who has a victory on the PGA tour, and Mackenzie Hughes, who, thanks to a victory on the PGA tour, has participated in the Masters Tournament last April.
