The resolution of the armed conflict in Ukraine is one of the main priorities of the OSCE. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Italy, Enzo Moavero-Milanesi at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the organization on Thursday, August 30.
“Finding a sustainable solution to the crisis in and around Ukraine is one of the main priorities of the Italian presidency in OSCE,” the diplomat said.
In his words, “the parties should take responsibility on the basis of full respect for the ceasefire and the resumption of the political (negotiating) process in the framework of the Trilateral contact group and the Normandy format”.
Also, the Italian foreign Minister said the progress in talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia on Nagorno-Karabakh, and also about “improving the situation in Transnistria”.
Recall, the OSCE chairmanship was transferred to Italy since the beginning of 2018.
