The Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova said that the Charter of the orphanage in the city Rozhische of Volyn region, where abused children, is not consistent with the Model regulations for foster care services for children. She wrote about this on his page in Facebook.
Denisova reported that 29 of July, the neighbors who live nearby, called the police, because the orphanage could hear the children screaming.
“During a conversation with my staff, the children reported that on this day, the 29th July, they were beaten on duty at the regime and they called for help. When the police arrived on the scene, the duty they were not allowed. Now we find out this information,” she said.
The Ombudsman also said that the Charter of the shelter is not consistent with the Model regulations for foster care services for children.
Earlier, the Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova said that during checking at the orphanage the city in ten children have discovered traces of beatings and blood on the clothes, and three more children claimed sexual harassment by the management of the institution. The Prosecutor’s office already brought criminal case and began investigations. The head of the shelter was removed from office.
