The Central regional court of Nikolaev chose a measure of restraint to the suspect in the murder of a researcher of the Holodomor Nicholas Chituku two months of detention without the right of bail. About it reports “UKRINFORM” with reference to the press-Secretary of the court of Vladimir Didenko.
“Examining the case file, the investigating judge Galina Podzigun decided to elect a suspect in the murder of a famous Ukrainian scientist Nikolay Situe a measure of restraint in form of detention to 31.10.2018 of the year”, – said Didenko.
He also noted that the hearing was held behind closed doors, because the materials contain information about private and family life or the circumstances that humiliate the dignity of the suspect and the victim.
Earlier it was reported that on 1 September, the police received a message stating that the apartment on Central Ave. a man is found dead with signs of violent death. On the body of 65-year-old victim, the experts found numerous stab wounds in the neck, back and chest.
After search actions the suspect was detained at a stop of public transport.
It later turned out that the suspect in the murder of a scientist and researcher of the Holodomor Nicholas Situe turned out to be his distant relative. 24-year-old man was repeatedly brought to criminal liability for committing crimes selfish, violent associated with drug trafficking.
