He said that he would obey “the will of the people” and did not mention the king even a single word.

The new Prime Minister of Catalonia Kim Torr gave the oath to the king of Spain. This was reported by the newspaper La Vanguardia.

Torre, in his speech in the Parliament of Catalonia said “it will perform the duties of the Chairman of the government faithfully the will of the people, represented by Parliament.” However, he said nothing about loyalty to the head of state, king Felipe VI and the Spanish Constitution.

Such a separatist attack in the beginning of the term of the new Prime Minister of Catalonia may aggravate the already difficult relations of Barcelona and Madrid. Torre said the pledge of allegiance in the same way as his predecessor, the disgraced Carles Pujdeme.

New ex-President of Catalonia Carlos Putteman said that he and other members of the government are willing for their ideas to serve 30 years in prison. But on the court he was not. Instead, the politician went into hiding. Before that, he was one of the main organizers of a referendum for the independence of Catalonia.
