The coordinator of the OSCE in the humanitarian sub-group Toni Frisch raises in Minsk exchange of 36 prisoners of the Russians in Ukrainian political prisoners. This was announced by first Vice-speaker of the Parliament and Ukraine’s representative at the talks in Minsk Irina Gerashchenko on his page in Facebook.
“The OSCE coordinator T. Frisch also does not put this issue on the agenda as a separate and pretends that he does not understand why the Ukrainian side categorically does not agree to the statements ORDO on “exchange for all installed all installed”, because they require us to nearly 300 people, including Russians, Berkut officers involved in the terrorist attacks in Odessa and Kharkov, etc. and are willing to give less than 25. Not acknowledging and hiding from us the tens held, among them military and civil, which include not only prisons, but also in the newly established secret camps…” – she wrote.
Gerashchenko said that the Ukrainian side insists on the transfer of 36 Russians in the Russian Federation alone, not ORDO, in exchange for the release of Ukrainians held. Therefore, according to Gerashchenko, the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova has sent a letter to his Russian counterpart Tatiana Moskalkova with the initiative of the humanitarian exchange.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Ukraine is ready to consider the possibility of giving Russia another 13 of its citizens, in addition to the previously announced “list of 23” for the release of political prisoners.
Prior to this, Gerashchenko announced the names of 23 Russians that Ukraine is ready to exchange on their political prisoners. By the way, Wyszynski was not among them. Recently, she turned to the Director for operational management of the International Committee of the red cross Dominic Stillhart with a request to check the conditions of detention and state of health of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia and occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea.
