The prosecution in the person of the Chief military Prosecutor’s office asks court to appoint punishment in the form of 15 years of imprisonment for former President Viktor Yanukovych on charges of treason. This was stated by the Prosecutor Maxim Crimea in a speech at the debate on Thursday, reports 112.ua.
Note the speech of the Crimea, and his colleagues, Ruslan Kravchenko, was accompanied by protests from the lawyers of Yanukovych, who strongly opposed the debate and involving the state attorney.
“I beg your honors Yanukovych Victor Fedorovich found guilty of the incriminated criminal proceedings and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment”, – said the Prosecutor.
Earlier today before the meeting and during the break there have been clashes between the paid lawyers of Yanukovych and the police. Law enforcement authorities refused to allow the defense in the courtroom, which caused lawyers the outrage and protests.
Ex-President Yanukovych suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of article 111 (“high treason”), part 5 article 27, part 3 of article 110 (“Complicity in deliberate acts committed with the aim of changing the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine”) and part 5 article 27, part 2 of article 437 (“complicity in the waging of aggressive war”) the criminal code of Ukraine.
