Ukrainian political prisoner Alexander Kostenko, who on 3 August, was released from a Russian prison, along with the consuls arrived in the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow. This was announced by the people’s Deputy Irina Gerashchenko on his page in Facebook.
It is clarified that the consuls and liberated Crimean resident Kostenko arrived at the Embassy around 5 am today, Saturday 4 August.
“According to the state Secretary of the MFA of Ukraine Hare, Crimea Oleksandr Kostenko together with our consuls arrived in our Embassy in Moscow in the morning, 5. After a short rest going to Kiev,” – wrote Gerashchenko.
To arrive in Kyiv Kostenko plans Monday and Tuesday, with “no surprises at the border,” she said.
Recall that the Ukrainian political prisoner from the Crimea Alexander Kostenko was released from Russian penal colony №5 in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov region. He was accused of the fact that Kostenko allegedly during the Euromaidan protests in Kiev in February 2014 caused the injuries to the employee of the Crimean special forces “Berkut”. Also the activist was charged with unlawful possession of weapons – rifled barrel.
