A private entrepreneur engaged in the sale of books on the market “Petrovka” was fined for the importation and distribution of book products from the Russian Federation without permits. About it reports a press-service of the state Committee.
“Administrative sanctions applied to an entity FLP sochacki A. A. Books that were distributed without permits, withdrawn from circulation, and the owner imposed the administrative penalty in the amount of 37 thousand 230 UAH. In the case of repeated violations of the current legislation the amount of the fine will amount to 186 thousand 150 UAH”, – stated in the message.
The Committee also recalled that on 1 January 2017 entered into force the law of Ukraine “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the limitation of access to the Ukrainian market of foreign printed materials of anti-Ukrainian content,” according to which Russia, as well as with the temporarily occupied territories of publishing products may be imported only with a special permit.
Earlier, the Committee expanded the list of books banned for circulation in Ukraine because of the content, aimed at liquidation of independence of Ukraine, propaganda of violence, incitement to hatred, encroachment on the rights and freedoms of the individual. The total list now includes 201 edition.
