The Supreme court refused to pass on to other judges the case of treason Yanukovych

The trial for treason of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and will continue to be held in the Obolon court of Kyiv under the chairmanship of judge Vladislav Devyatko. This decision on 3 July, was taken by the Supreme court of Ukraine when considering the petition of lawyers eks-the President on the replacement of the members of the court and transfer the case to any other court, reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan.

According to her, the protection of Yanukovych did not attend the meeting.

“Having considered the petition of lawyers ex-the President, the Supreme court found no violations and considered the request of the defence are unfounded. Thus, the lawyers of Yanukovych dismissed their petition, and the trial of treason and will continue to take place in the Obolon district court of Kiev”, – wrote Gar, Recalling that the next meeting will be held on July 16.

The former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of article 111 (“high treason”), part 5 article 27, part 3 of article 110 (“Complicity in deliberate acts committed with the aim of changing the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine”) and part 5 article 27, part 2 of article 437 (“complicity in the waging of aggressive war”) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The hearing continues from last year, was already interrogated all the witnesses of the prosecution and partly by the defense.
