Rock band U2 was forced to cancel his speech in Berlin because of problems with the voice of frontman Bono. About it reports a press-group service.
“We are very sorry that the concert had to be cancelled. Bono was in great shape and before the show, his voice sounded great, we all were looking forward to the second meeting in Berlin, but after a few songs he completely lost his voice. We don’t know what happened, and consult physicians”, – reported the representatives of the U2.
The BBC says that Bono lost his voice during a performance of the fourth song in the program show “Red Flag Day”. After that he tried to sing the next song, “Beautiful Day”, but was forced to stop and apologize to the audience.
Initially, he asked hall to wait 10-15 minutes to figure out what happened, but after half an hour of waiting, the audience was informed that the concert is cancelled.
Cancelled show took place at Mercedes-Benz Arena in the framework of the European tour group “Experience + Innocence”. It is expected that on 4 and 5 September U2 perform in Cologne, after the scheduled show in Paris, Lisbon and Madrid.
Viewers assume that the problems with the voice of frontman could occur due to smoke machines that were used in the show.
The group has not yet reported on what the day will be postponed speech.
