The UN called on Russia to immediately and unconditionally release Oleg Sentsov

Four of the UN special Rapporteur made a statement in which he demanded the immediate release of Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov. The relevant document posted on the news website of the United Nations.

“Life Sentsov is in imminent danger. His hunger strike was the result of trial and sentence, which violates international law. We urge the Russian authorities to urgently and without any conditions for his release,” – said in a statement.

Human rights defenders the UN also called on the Kremlin to immediately provide Sentsov access to proper medical care and to provide it only with the consent of the convicted person.

“Three months ago, he (Oleg Sentsov) went on hunger strike in protest against the imprisonment of Ukrainians 64, which he considers politically motivated,” – said in a statement.
