Acting Minister of health of Ukraine Ulyana Suprun advised to all men older than 50 years to be examined by a urologist because of the risk of prostate cancer. About Suprun wrote on his page in Facebook.
“Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Usually the disease develops slowly and for a long time people do not know that hurts her. The risk of developing prostate cancer increases with age. In most cases it affects men older than 50 years. So all men 50+ are encouraged to take a simple blood test for PSA (prostate specific antigen), as well as pass inspection at the urologist, which can detect the disease,” wrote Suprun.
He added that the physician may recommend to be screened if prostate cancer sick father or brother men. It is reported that obesity also increases the risk of developing prostate cancer.
