The main prize of the photo contest, British wildlife this year received the Paul Collie “Traces of dawn”. The photo showed the flight path of bats, according to the website of the competition.
Paul Collie got his shot in-camera with an infrared lens, which was developed for 14 months. The author was difficult to create such a camera, which would be able to accurately shoot in the dark high speed flight of bats. “Traces of dawn” showed the moment milliseconds before the bat will swallow the insect. For winning the competition Paul Colley received a cash prize in the amount of 6.5 thousand.
