Social network Facebook has launched a system for evaluating the trustworthiness of users. About it reports The Washington Post.
It is noted that the degree of reliability is determined on a scale from zero to one. The system also keeps track of which users often complain about others. It is reported that such a scale was created to combat misinformation and “fake news.”
The representative of Facebook Tessa lions reported that recently, users complain to the management of social networks on the “about” information “only because of the fact that they do not agree with the idea of publishing” or are against its author.
“For example, if someone tells us what the article is about and the employee who checks the accuracy of, confirm this info later on we will more closely monitor the reports of unreliability of the articles from this person than from someone who just randomly marks as fake numerous reports, some of which in the end turns out to be true,” said lions.
Recall, Facebook was at the center of several scandals. In particular, social network Facebook appears in the scandal Cambridge Analytica, which could illegally obtain data from more than 87 million users of the social network and to influence the election of many countries, including the us in 2016, as he worked with his campaign of Donald trump. It was also reported that from-for failure in work Facebook around 14 million private records happen to be available for public viewing.
