The former striker of the Montreal canadiens Tomas Plekanec could get a more offensive role with the Maple Leafs Monday night in Toronto, in the third game of the series against the Boston Bruins.
Plekanec was part of the second trio of the Leafs, to the morning workout, surrounded by Patrick Marleau and Mitchell Marner.
The Bruins lead the series 2-0.
Since his arrival with the Maple Leafs, Plekanec has been limited to two points in 17 games in the regular season. The Czech has also been milled in the first two playoff games against the Bruins.
