The US President Donald trump has signed a decree on the restoration of sanctions against Iran that were lifted in January 2016. About it reports “UKRINFORM”.
“Restrictions are imposed in the context of the decision of the President dated may 8, 2018, on the termination of US involvement in the Joint comprehensive plan of action (JCPOA) and the restoration of all sanctions, revoked, or suspended due to JCPOA”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that the sanctions will be restored in two stages. The first package of restrictions that will apply to automotive products, precious metals, government debt, software, financial transactions, shall enter into force on the night of Tuesday, August 7th.
A second package of sanctions, which will address the export of oil from Iran will take effect from November 4.
As reported, in response to the introduction of new US sanctions against Iran, the European Union adopted a resolution which blocks these sanctions in their territories.

As you know, the Joint comprehensive plan of action (JCPOA), or as it is called “the Iranian nuclear agreement”, was signed in 2015 between the US, Britain, France, China, Russia, Germany and Iran. He called for the lifting of sanctions against Tehran in exchange for Iranian refusals from programs in nuclear weapons.
