Turkey is preparing to move to settlements in national currency with its major trading partners such as China, Russia, Iran and Ukraine. This was stated by the President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Anadolu reports.
“Turkey will not accept a world order in which the world declared economic war on a country pressured by the threat of sanctions”, – said the President.
According to him, if “the countries of Europe also want to get rid of the “shackles” of the dollar”, that Ankara is ready to go with them on the same trade settlements, the report said.
“Turkey is resistant to any shocks and threats,” – said Erdogan.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged its citizens to sell foreign currency to support the Lira, which has lost its value.
