Ashton Sanders will become RZA

These will be members of the group, or people outside but also important.

And Ashton Sanders will there be in the skin of Bobby Diggs to become the iconic RZA, the leader of the group.

Shameik Moore will be Sha Rader, a young boy who lived across the street.

Siddiq Saunderson will Dennis “D-Love” Coles, also known under the pseudonym of Ghostface Killah.

Marcus Callender will interpret Power, one of the bigwigs of the city, while Zolee Griggs will be playing the role of Shurrie, the girlfriend of Dennis.

Finally, Erika Alexander will become Linda, a mother of four children who is going through difficult times. Got rid of a violent husband, it does work, despite his problems with his children.

Created by RZA, the series will consist of 10 episodes written by Alex Tse (Superfly). Chris Robinson (The New Edition Story) will be the director and executive co-producer of the first episode.

This will not be the first time the director addresses to the genesis of a group of music for television: Chris Robinson has made a miniseries of three episodes entitled The New Edition Story, which traced the ascent of the group of the u.s. R&B New Edition, in 2017, for the specialty channel, Black Entertainment Television.

The other members of the group, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard Estate will act as consultants on the series.

Wu-Tang: an American Saga will return to the formation of the group in the 1990s in New York, when the traffic of cocaine and crack use was at its peak.

The story will follow the lives of different members of the group, but especially the one of Bobby Diggs, aka RZA, who has managed to gather a dozen young black men and lead them to the world of music rather than the crime.

A history of fairy-tale improbable, which gave birth to one of the most iconic bands of the rap game.
