Ukraine opened a Consulate in Antalya, Turkey. About it reports a press-service of the Ukrainian President.
According to the report, the opening ceremony was held with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who at the moment is still on an official visit to Turkey.
“I am very pleased to be here today, because I was the first President of Ukraine, who arrived in Antalya on the occasion of this outstanding event – opening of the Ukrainian Consulate. Let’s see what it is modern and beautiful. It is a symbol of the fact that the Ukrainian state is one of the first priorities”, – said the head Ukrainian state.
Poroshenko reminded that Turkey is annually visited by more than 1.3 million Ukrainians, including more than 800 thousand people come to Antalya. The local community of Ukrainians is more than 35 thousand people.
“Every Ukrainian who comes to Turkey, to Antalya, need to feel the care of the state. Every Ukrainian living in Antalya must feel concern for the state”, – he stressed.
That is why for the first time, according to the President, was founded tools that allow not only to zaderjyvat diplomatic institutions, but also to open and maintain such activities as the opening of a Ukrainian Consulate.
