Coast guard Turkey and Ukraine will jointly patrol the Black sea. This was agreed by Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and commander of the coast guard of the Turkish Republic Ahmet, Kinder, reported on site MIA.
“With the commander of the Coast guard of Turkey Ahmet Chandiram conduct serious consultations and work on joint action with our border – monitoring mechanisms and rapid response, collaborative groups, sharing information. This will greatly enhance our presence in the Black sea”, ‑ said Avakov.
He stressed that now is the groundwork for joint actions of the Turkish Coast guard and the Ukrainian border guards.
“We discuss the monitoring mechanisms of space and collaborative decision-making those or other situations,” ‑ said the Minister.
In September the planned meeting of Ukrainian and Turkish colleagues, which will be held in Kiev and Odessa. According to Arsen Avakov, each service ‑ border guards and migration will have a format of interaction.
Border agencies of the two countries renewed a bilateral agreement. Now the guards of Kyiv and Ankara would work together on contemporary security challenges.
“We hold joint exercises of Maritime security, training of officers and counteract illegal activities of poachers in the Black sea,” said Peter Cigital.
As reported, in Kiev, police begin to patrol the streets on motorcycles.
