Uz divided train on a 3-class – comfort, standard and economy

Укрзализныця поделит поезда на 3 класса - комфорт, стандарт и эконом

“Ukrzaliznytsya” to the end of summer 2018 split the train into three classes – comfort, standard and economy. This was announced by the head of Department of passenger transportations of distant following Alexander Krasnoshtan, reports

“We are now in the final stages of agreeing changes with the Ministry of Infrastructure. The idea is that if a passenger buys a train ticket comfort class, he will get a new car (lifetime up to 10 years), toilets, air conditioning, etc. It will be a complete package. We assume that the train comfort class will only compartment and SV-wagons. Route speed of such trains would be less than 70 km/hour, it will be the most convenient time of arrival of the train. In trains of the type standard will be allowed compartment good level, air-conditioned, with toilets. These trains will have a speed less than 70 km/h. In economy trains are older than cars, perhaps the lack of toilets and the air conditioning,” he said.

Alexander Krasnoshtan noted that if the direction runs one train, it will be economy class to the trip was available to any citizen.

According to him, it is planned that the price of train comfort class and standard will regulate “Ukrzaliznytsya” and the price of the train economy class – the state.

“If it succeeds, it will be a positive change for passengers, and for BONDS, because we have many directions we want to reduce the price of the ticket. For example, the train Kyiv — Ivano-Frankivsk, where the ticket price from Kiev to Ivano-Frankivsk UAH 300, and from Lviv to Ivano-Frankivsk on the same train — 220 UAH. Due to the fact that the pricing system is not perfect, and the longer the distance, the lower the cost of passenger-kilometer without this results in the inability of ULTRASONIC to compete with the road transportation”, – he said.

As told the head of the Department, “Ukrzaliznytsya” will be ready for such changes before the end of summer.
