The high Council of justice (SCJ) has approved the necessary number of judges for the Anticorruption court. This is stated in the message of VSP July 31.
“According to article 5 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher anti-corruption court,” the number of judges of the Supreme court anti-corruption is determined according to the law of Ukraine “On judicial system and status of judges” in the limits of sums allotted in state budget of Ukraine for the maintenance of that court, and separate installation, in accordance with the number of judges of the respective Department, the number of judges of the Appeals chamber of the Supreme court anti-corruption”, – stated in the message of VSP.
According to the decision, in the Higher anti-corruption court will be 39 full-time judges, of which 12 judges belong to the court of Appeal of the Supreme court anti-corruption.
Earlier it was reported that the Highest qualification Commission of judges of Ukraine began to register those who intend to take part in the contest for judge of a High court anti-corruption. Completed forms will be taken until August 1, 2018, inclusive.
We will remind, in June of this year in Ukraine came into force the law on Higher anti-corruption court, and a formal act establishing the Anticorruption court. According to the documents, the Highest anti-corruption court should form until June 14, 2019, for a start its work need to type at least 35 anti-corruption judges, of which at least 10 representatives of the appeals chamber.
