At all stations of Kiev metro are planning to install new information boards that will show the time until the next train. The relevant draft decision was in the Kiev city Council on August 3.
According to the project, until the end of 2019, metro shall be established an information system that allows you to see the time until the next train. It is noted that such boards should be “established over a tunnel on the side of the train, except where structural features stations complicate the reading of information from such a display”.
At the moment the document has the status of the project and is under consideration of the corresponding fee.
Recall that Kiev has repeatedly appealed to officials with a request to install subway scoreboard with a countdown. The petition with such a request appeared on the website of the Kyiv city Council in 2015, and gathered the necessary number of votes. However, six months later, the Commission of the Council on communication and advertising rejected the request, deeming the project too costly.
