In Ukraine since the beginning of 2018 with defaulters of the alimony collected more than 2,7 billion UAH. This was announced by the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko during a government meeting, the correspondent of 112.ua.
“We have impressive results in 6 months – more than 2.7 billion was collected in favor of the Ukrainian children. We are talking about almost half a million children who received these funds,” – said Petrenko.
The Minister also noted that today for parents who have arrears in the payment of child support, begin to operate the new rules for calculating debt.
“I would like to inform such persons who have debts to pay alimony for more than 1 year, from today all arrears of such parents towards their children is automatically increased in favor of the child. If the debt is more than 1 year – 20% and all state performers list this debt. If such a debt more than 2 years – 30 % if 3 years or more – 50 %”, – said the Minister.
“Second. Today introduced increased minimum amount of maintenance. We stipulated that a minimum amount of maintenance will be a living wage – a little more than 1800 UAH”, – added Petrenko.
The Minister also noted that today the full effect new rules for the travel of children abroad.
Recall, February 6, in Ukraine came into force the law on restrictions for non-payers of alimony.
When the amount of unpaid child support exceeds the amount for the six months to the debtor to apply restrictions until the moment of payment of money – the right to travel abroad, to drive, to use firearms for hunting, air guns, hunting.
On the same day, the Ministry of justice opened the Unified register of malicious defaulters of the alimony. The person who has the duty to pay alimony, it is possible to find by name and date of birth.
