In Russia said that the Ukrainian political prisoner Director Oleg Sentsov feels “great,” remotely manages the staging of the play in Kyiv and is preparing a book for publication. It is reported TASS with reference to Deputy Director of Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN) of Russia Valery Maksimenko.
As stated Maksimenko, “Oleg Sentsov now remotely manages the production of his play “Rooms”, premiere to be held in December in Kiev.” “This is the play – dystopia, where satirically reflected the relationship between people”, – he explained.
In addition, according to the Director of the Federal penitentiary service, Sentsov plans to write a book and send to a publisher to publish a collection of short stories about his childhood in five languages. “The pilot copy of the book autographed, he plans to give the leadership of IK-8 (where he is serving his sentence), because he believes that he is treated properly, do not violate his rights, claims to leadership of the colony he had no”, – said Maksimenko.
He also said that in the colony Sentsov reads “War and peace” by Leo Tolstoy and is studying English, preparing for the future release.
“As for his health, with health (after a long hunger strike) he is doing great. He is full of energy and creative plans,” – said the Deputy Director of the Federal penitentiary service.
We will remind, Oleg Sentsov stopped the hunger strike in a Russian prison. In Russia officially informed about his statement, but the reasons did not name. According to the lawyer Sentsov, the decision on the termination of hunger strike was taken after Russian doctors and captors issued an ultimatum to the Director, recommending either voluntarily to stop the hunger strike or to accept a force-feeding.
The hunger strike of Oleg Sentsov started may 14, 2018. The main requirement was to release on freedom of Ukrainians, who have become political prisoners of the Kremlin. In spite of such actions the Director, the authorities of the Russian Federation for the period not started negotiations on the release or exchange of political prisoners.
