Zenit fined by UEFA after the match against Rosenborg

UEFA subjected to a fine Zenit St Petersburg for € 27,000 after an away game in the Europa League against Rosenborg. The reason for this behavior of fans from coast of Neva.

 

The soccer organization has fined “Zenith” for throwing ultras of foreign objects, the use of pyrotechnics in the stands of the arena and vandalism. In addition, over the next 30 days the leaders of the St. Petersburg club undertake to get in touch with Norwegians in order to resolve the amount of damage done to the Russian fans on stadium of Rosenborg. The Nordic club also received the sanction for the behaviour of their fans, the community will pay UEFA € 15,000.

The fight ended with the score 1:1 (first meeting – 3:1). Thus “Zenith” has secured qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League. Now Petersburgers need to play in the remaining two meetings with “Wardroom” from Macedonia and the Spanish “real Sociedad”.
